About Beth

Hi. I'm Beth. I'm a 46-year-old mom of two wonderful kiddos, and wife to a very patient husband. I spent the first part of my life exploring activities that I loved and a few different careers, but somewhere along the way, I lost myself.

Shortly after my daughter was born in 2013 I started feeling a little different. I realized that I had a lot of shifts going on. I left my role as a full-time employee to be a stay-at-home mom. I've entered perimenopause. I've learned a lot about the changes that happen during midlife, and I coach other women on those chances, but I've realized that I needed to apply them to myself. I'm looking to start moving more, healing my physical and emotional self, and return to the life of play that I loved as a kid. I've had enough of being told what I should do and who I should be, and I'm ready to find myself again.

For now, this blog is just about sharing my journey and I invite you to join me. I'm passionate about bringing play back to everyday life - for both our kids and for ourselves. I've been researching pay science for a few years now, and am astounded by the benefits to, not only our development as children but to our health and longevity as we age. I'm going to be transparent in what I'm doing and the changes I'm seeing - the celebrations and the slip-ups. I hope you'll feel your own journey on the blog comments.
